Promise.
A promise to Allah first

Your personal reading data is stored locally on your device in the free tier. No account needed. No sync required.
Optional Pro and Elite tiers will be additions only — they will never remove what is already free.

What is collected for an account
Your email address and a secure password hash. Nothing else. Collected under GDPR Article 6(1)(b) — necessary to perform the service of cloud sync.
What cloud sync stores
Your bookmarks, reading position, and app preferences — encrypted in transit and at rest. Used only to sync your experience across your devices.
What is never done with your account data
Your data is never sold, never shared with advertisers, never used for profiling or behavioural tracking. No advertising network will ever receive it. This is a binding commitment.
Account deletion
Delete your account at any time from within the app or by emailing hello@lytdesign.com. All data permanently deleted within 7 days.

QuraLYT™ and all its features, designs, systems, and innovations are the exclusive intellectual property of LYTDesign™. U.S. copyright filed 2025. All rights reserved worldwide.
Owned trademarks and brands
The following are intellectual property of LYTDesign™: QuraLYT™, LYTDesign™, LYTFocus™, LYTTouch™, LYTSnap™, LYTGrid™, QLES™, QLIS™, VaultLyt™, Notelyt™, Decklyt™, Sendlyt™, Filelyt™, ACCESSLYT™, and the LYTDesign signature design system including thin gold border UI, icon layout, and visual identity.
Themes, guides, and design assets
All QuraLYT themes (Core and Premium), all illustrated Surah artwork, all Step-by-Step Guides (Wudu, Salah, Janazah, Hajj, Umrah, Prayer Times), and all UI design assets are original works owned by LYTDesign™.
No copying or redistribution
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, resell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of QuraLYT™ or LYTDesign™ property without prior written permission.

Quranic text
The Arabic Quran text is sourced from established, publicly available verified Uthmani script sources. The Quran belongs to the Ummah. We use it with the greatest reverence and do not claim ownership of the sacred text.
Translations
Translations are sourced from established scholars and publishers, used under appropriate licence or with permission. Attribution is given within the app. Translations are interpretive tools — not the Quran itself.
Recitations
Audio recitations are used from sources that permit redistribution for non-commercial Islamic educational use. All reciters are credited within the app. We do not claim ownership of any recitation.
App store platforms
Distributed via Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms collect their own data governed by their own privacy policies. LYTDesign™ has no control over Apple's or Google's data practices.

Responsibilities.
Use QuraLYT with respect
QuraLYT is built around the Book of Allah. Use it with the adab the Quran deserves. It is not a platform for misuse, mockery, or disrespect of any Quranic content.
QuraLYT is not a religious authority
QuraLYT is a reading and listening tool. It does not issue fatwas, religious rulings, or scholarly guidance. For religious questions consult qualified Islamic scholars.
No reverse engineering or misuse
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, copy, or commercially exploit any part of QuraLYT or LYTDesign™ intellectual property without written permission.
Account security (Pro & Elite)
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately at hello@lytdesign.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Limitation of Liability.
App provided as-is
QuraLYT is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free performance. We will always work to fix issues promptly.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law, LYTDesign™ shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months.
Service continuity
We intend QuraLYT to remain available indefinitely. Should we ever need to discontinue the service, we will give reasonable advance notice and, where possible, a way to export your data.
Consumer rights: Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under Norwegian or EEA consumer protection law.
07 ——Governing Law

& Changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, including the Norwegian Personal Data Act (LOV-2018-06-15-38) and the GDPR as incorporated into the EEA Agreement. Disputes shall be resolved under Norwegian jurisdiction.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms as QuraLYT grows. All changes will be communicated clearly inside the app and on this page with an updated effective date, written in plain language. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
